Thought it was kinda lame, until Deus Ex Machina. Both the pun and the abruptness of it.
I fell over laughing. Thank you for that.

Helen Hunt? Really? I dunno man, I wouldn't be able to get past the face, check it without makeup. Maybe if I was in my 50s, sure.
Well I meant younger Helen Hunt. XP
I don't want to fuck a pile of dust.
And if you can't get past it, double bagger... :D
Can definitely see where you are going with this and i hope you continue it. Great potential.
I love the animation style, though i hope the next few episodes will have a little more polish to em. The outlines of the characters look what I see when I turn off anti-aliasing. But since you were rushing to get it out by clock day, it's still pretty sweet.
The voices are alright. Though I feel the thugs sounds really...over emphasized/exaggerated. Kept thinking it sounded like a bad anime dub bad guy. Though that could be intentional, as that kinda works for the archetype. Coulda just been the speed of the dialogue that bugged me. Not sure.
The score you used for the music was what really got me. Smooth and fit every scene.
Hope to see how this develops.
I must say that you are a stellar artist and story teller. I love how well crafted the personalities for each character are in all of your animations. I really hope you get the chance to be well funded for making shows like this, either on a network or your own broadcast. Do you have any crowdfunding projects going? I'm sure you'd have a shot at doing a large scale production.
I notice though that you seem to pull alot of inspiration from myths and folklore. Do you have any wikipedia articles you'd recommend to read on folklore? I'm only able to read wiki at work and I like what you've pulled and used so far. I'm not sure where to start looking.
I hope to watch more of your stuff later. It's highly entertaining. Wish I had a skill to contribute to ya.
I just discovered this series last week, and finally finished this episode. I have to say, This is an impressive show, so Impressive I could see it getting picked up by a network. Mind you, its basically the .hack//sign idea, but I think Ya'll carry it better than .hack.
The animation is fluid, the comedy is great and awkward at times (which give a more realistic view of MMO's, imo), and the characters have development and depth. And the WORLD of TOME is brilliantly organized for a fictional realm, It really makes the world believable!
My only gripe with the show is I notice that the 'shinji' archetype (evangelion) is showing up, which I dislike. A little too selfcentered emo-ness, but I guess it's needed to show personal vulnerability in characters you've made out to be superheroes. I'll deal with it.
I also think the sexual tension between alpha and flamegirl is kinda unnecessary, but alas, I'm sure it will make the future a bit more amusing. I assume they are supposed to be like teenagers or something going through that awkward phase.
Keep up the great work, I can't wait to see how this series will develop. It's looking a bit DBZ ish with the tournament idea.
(p.s. Any thoughts of making a simple 2-d fighter with the characters? It looks like ya'll use the same images over and over for the walking and fighting, i bet you could export em into a Fighting game. You already have the balancing worked out.... just a thought)
This was crud. I liked the cutesyness of the drawings, but that's about all the enjoyment I received outta this.
No depth at all, and i didn't even see the humor outside of the cutesyness.
THe fluidness of the animation is spot on, but the content....is kinda like the mind of a 7 year old?
Low rating for lack of entertainment. GImme some depth, please.
At first i was intrigued...and then I lol'd.
